Client Revenue Specialist (Billing)

Job description

As Client Revenue Specialist you manage the client revenue function for Baker McKenzie Amsterdam. You coordinate assignments, budgeting, (e)billing, collection and reporting for your portfolio of clients. You ensure that internal stakeholders have access to this information by providing regularly updates and answering (ad hoc) queries. You will report to the Finance Manager.

Main responsibilities:

  • Set up and prepare internal meetings with Billing Partners (around 10 meetings each month) to discuss analysis and advice on billing, work in progress and accounts receivables
  • Be accountable for the management of billing for clients (proactively track and manage)
  • Influence Billing Partners via regular communication to achieve agreed billing cycle deadlines
  • Spot-check invoices for accuracy and work closely with the global e-billing team (global shared services) on identifying and addressing the causes of inaccuracy
  • Ensure compliance with agreed billing processes and procedures
  • Ensure the clients fee deal and terms of engagement are adhered to

Requirements

You are accurate, reliable and involved. Able to influence others to refine current billing practices and resolve issues. Therefore you fit well within a professional services environment. You enjoy teamwork and your interpersonal skills are well developed.

You have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business economics, finance or accounting and a minimum of 3 years of business/financial administrative experience
  • A commercial pragmatic attitude and understanding of client relationships
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint

You are:

  • Able to communicate (written and verbal) effectively and clearly
  • Able to present information concisely and professionally
  • Positive, polite and attentive in all situations, responding promptly to requests

Compensation and benefits:

  • Annual salary max € 60K (full-time), depending on experience
  • 13th month
